A Horror Night

I love nightlife, walking down the streets with friends, giggling while holding each other’s hands. Dressed up like a party slayer with black eyeshadow, blue mascara, and green eyelashes. The other night, we all had plans, and as usual, I was on the sidewalk, returning from a nightclub where we had danced like crazy. In the parking lot, I was waiting for my friend to get the car keys that she had misplaced in one of the bathrooms. Being tired, I had zoned out and suddenly found myself in a nightclub where loud music was taking me into a trance, making me feel like I was flying while doing hip-hop moves, swinging and flexing my leg muscles. Just then, the club went darker than usual, smoke filled the air, and a burnt man with boiling flesh on his face appeared. I hopped in horror and crashed into another girl, who kept screaming as she burned. I started running toward the nearest exit and found a pile of burned bodies before losing control and falling. My friend pulled me into the car, put the seatbelt on, and asked what had happened. The next morning, I saw news of 56 people killed in a fire in Macedonia, and it felt as if I had been pulled into that moment last night. Even though in a different dimension, I could see the exact emotions of the people burning inside the club when the fire struck. I am still wondering—how was I connected to it?

*Inspired by the horrifying incident that happened in Macedonia where 56 people got killed by a fire that broke due to lighting effects.

Why did you write "2minhorrorstories"?   As an afternoon ritual back in my childhood days, my grandmother used to always narrate us stories about ghosts, witches, and unexplained incidents from her childhood, youth, to her middle age.    Those stories, enabled me to enter into a realm of a parallel dimension, that had some power beyond realism. It created a sense of fear, but at the same time the thrill lingered around for days, turning me into an adventurous soul that pushed my intentions beyond being scared and thus overpowering my inner ...

A Savage Village

Our adventure trip, a group of friends and I, began in a vehicle unlike any other – mine. This marvel of engineering could be both pulled and pushed, adapting to the demands of the terrain. It resembled a monstrous GMC Hummer EV Edition, boasting a staggering 1000 horsepower and a mind-boggling 11,500 lb-ft of torque. Our destination: a remote, ancient village nestled on the fringes of the Bengal border. The journey was a nightmare from the outset. The roads, mere tracks through shifting sand dunes, twisted and turned like a labyrinth as we penetrated the village. The inhabitants, diminutive and unsettling with their pointed teeth, watched our arrival with palpable hostility. Then, disaster struck. One of them, with a chilling ferocity, bit our beloved dog, Toby, inflicting a gruesome wound. Panic seized us. Dr. Dev Kumar, the village veterinarian, resided in a dilapidated cottage at the maze's end. We had to reach him. As we pressed on, the sky turned an omino...
